| Welcome to Bunaken Marine Park. Since it known as one of the best underwater park in the world, Bunaken is soon become famous world wide for the divers around the world to come and visit the Island that can be reach by boat about 35 minutes away from Manado city Harbor. The area covers about 89,065 hectares of total surface. The Marine Park its not just Bunaken but including Manadotua, Siladen, Mantehage. And just like other tropical Island, Bunaken sea is almost clear visibility and warm temperature that even eyes still can enjoy it underwater view for few meters deep from the surface. Bunaken Marine Park is also famous for its deep reef wall which is homes of many types of Fish, Corals, Sponges, Turtles and other underwater life that some of it only can be seen in Bunaken Island. That's why Bunaken Island become so treasure and new heaven place for sea lover and divers. Around Bunaken itself there more than 15 famous diving spot and some of them found by Foreign Diver like Mike,s Point, Sachiko's Point, Fukui's Point. Each dive spot has its own unique parts that offer you a plenty of choices to start your underwater experience. |

| Apart from it underwater information, Bunaken Island itself has divide by 3 Big Villages, Bunaken Kampung, Tanjung Parigi and Alung Banua. |

| Occupation |
| Most of the Bunaken Villager works as Fisherman or Farmer and some of them joining in Tourism field. The biggest populations are in Bunaken Kampung or sometimes call as Bunaken Negeri. |

| Education and School |
| There is only 1 Junior High School in the entire Villages, so after graduate the Junior High School the students have to go to Manado to continue their High School or other Upper Grade School. |

| Medical and Health Care |
| In Bunaken, there is only 1 small Clinic available, so most of Bunaken people will go to Manado Hospital for their Health Care check or Medication. |
|
| Market and Big Shopping center |
| It is not available in Bunaken, but there are small shops like convenient store selling daily needs like cigarette, soft drink etc. So for main shopping Bunaken Villagers, have to go to Manado city. |
|
| Transportation |
| in Bunaken Island mainly is by boat, but there are also bicycles, motorbikes use for daily transportation, but there is no car. |
|
| Religion |
| Most of Bunaken Villagers are Christian but there is also Muslim Village in Bunaken Kampung, so there are a Mosque and also a Church. |
|
| Language |
| Main language that use by almost all Bunaken Villagers are Manado Dialect, and there also small numbers of people use another Language Dialect called Bahasa Sanger, But Bahasa Indonesia as a National Language can be spoken by most of Bunaken Villagers. |
|
| Communication |
| Nowadays Bunaken Villager use Mobile Phone for their main communication way. As the landline phone is not yet available in the Island wide. |
|
| Recreation and Entertainment |
| place such a Cinema, Bar or Night club, Dining Restaurant,and Game Center is not available in the Island, so their main entertainment is Watching TV and or play the movie by DVD player. |
|
| Public service |
| like Government Office, Banks, Tax, Post Office, Hospitals is not available in the Island, so the Bunaken Villagers have to go to Manado City. |
|
| Electricity |
| It is not 24 hours system, Electric will start at 6 Pm and will be turn Off at 6 Am in the morning, in case for special occasion like a Christmas, New Year or Public Holiday for few hours the Electric will be turn on in the day time. So some of wealth family they buy their own Generator for their Electric supply. |

| Bunaken Villagers are very welcome to tourists and some of them can speak basic English if you want to ask about simple information such a road, or place name or where to go. So when you come to Bunaken that would be great sightseeing to come and watch how the local peoples do in their daily life. |
